Ah, anime.
The sacred art of procrastination, the ultimate serotonin boost, and, let’s be honest, the reason my sleep schedule is a meme at this point.
With Fall anime for 2024 wrapped up in spectacular fashion and Winter 2025 gearing up to melt our faces with even more awesomeness, I couldn’t resist putting together my top picks for the season’s best finales and the upcoming continuations we’re all chomping at the bit for.
Strap in, weebs, because this list is about to hit harder than Truck-kun in the next 36 Isekai drops.

We’re kicking things off with Blue Lock, the anime that’s single-handedly redefining soccer as a gladiator sport.
Sure, some fans were grumbling about the animation taking a slight dip compared to Season 1, but let’s be real: the story’s fire and the character arcs more than made up for it.
Watching our boy Isagi evolve as an egoist and face off against the freakishly talented Japan’s U-20 team?
Chef’s kiss.

Let’s also give a shoutout to the animators who pulled this off under insane deadlines.
They’re the real MVPs, and their hard work ensured that the emotional stakes and action-packed matches hit just as hard as ever.
The season wraps up with the Blue Lock Eleven taking on the U-20 team in a match that’s equal parts psychological warfare, as both teams feel the pressure to evolve their egos, and pure adrenaline.
Isagi’s evolution as a strategist and egoist reaches its peak as he outmaneuvers both friends and foes to prove his worth.
The match’s nail-biting finish is a testament to how Blue Lock keeps viewers hooked—even if the animation wasn’t always flawless, the storytelling had us screaming at the screen.
At the end, Isagi clutches the win when he finds himself in the perfect spot and drives a goal in past the U-20 team with a crazy powerful direct shot.
The final match is quickly followed by a proclamation to the media that he will lead Japan to a World Cup win and coming into his own as the true definition of egoist.
I didn’t expect Dan Da Dan to steal my heart, but here we are.
This show is pure chaos in the best way possible. The bizarre character designs?
On point.
The plot that’s a fever dream mixed with a Red Bull binge?
Perfection.
And don’t get me started on the anime’s intro song—I’ve had it on repeat for weeks, and I’m not sorry. (Pro tip: Check out Quanazer’s sick remix of the intro below with the lit One Piece fan art. It’s a banger and a half.)
Season 1 concludes with a Momo and Okarun heading over to Jiji’s haunted house.
The squad finally rolls up to Jiji’s place, and things seem chill… until they’re not. Momo decides to dip out and head to the hot spring district while the boys, clearly not above a little friendly rivalry, start kicking a soccer ball around and low-key fighting over her.
Spoiler alert: testosterone wins.
Meanwhile, Momo gets ambushed by a squad of zombie dudes that seem like puppets in the bath, because why not? But that’s not the wildest part. Back at Jiji’s, Okarun and Jiji stumble upon an underground room decked out with enough talismans to make any ghost hunter blush.
The cliffhanger ending?
Pure evil.
Bring on Season 2 already and give it to me now!
Bleach fans have waited over ten years for closure, and boy, did this arc deliver.
After a hiatus that felt longer than Ichigo’s bankai charge-up, Thousand Year Blood War hit us with the action and development that we all deserved.

From jaw-dropping battles to long-overdue character payoffs, it’s a masterclass in how to bring a beloved series back with a vengeance.
Reports say that this is part 2 of 4 so we’re about half way finished to see how all of this ends after so many years and I am here for it.
The finale is the build up to an all-out war that brings Ichigo face-to-face with Yhwach in a battle of epic proportions. With Ishida telling his true intentions and Ichigo on his way to face the sleeping Yhwach, I’m excited to see how they’re going to fill another two arcs when Ichigo is banging on the antagonists front door already.
The animation—fluid, crisp, and stunning—made every swing of Zangetsu feel like a gut punch. By the end, we finally get some closure on long-running mysteries – though the cliff hanger ending of this arc is only too reminiscent to the Bleach of old and left me wanting more.
We’re still waiting for the satisfying conclusion that makes the decade-long wait worth it.
(You too, Naruto. Take some notes and get off your ass.)
If you’re not hyped for Solo Leveling, I don’t know what to tell you.
Jinwoo’s journey from a weak, underpaid dungeon cleaner to an OP necromancer king is nothing short of funderful.
The dark spin on the classic hero’s journey trope keeps it fresh, while the animation and battles leave you on the edge of your seat.

Watching Jinwoo embrace his power and evolve—both physically and mentally—is the kind of character development that’ll make you cheer.
What’s next for Jinwoo?
With even bigger challenges on the horizon, this season promises to up the ante with jaw-dropping animation and emotionally charged moments that’ll make you wish necromancy was a viable career path.
If Sword Art Online had a chaotic, meme-worthy younger sibling, it’d be Shangri-La Frontier.
Sunraku, a self-proclaimed “trash game” connoisseur, dives into the VR masterpiece Shangri-La Frontier and promptly turns it into his personal playground.
Unlike SAO’s serious vibes, SLF leans into the absurd with Sunraku’s goofy bird-head cosmetic and his ridiculous in-game antics.

What makes this anime shine is the clever way it balances humor and intense action.
Sunraku’s experience with buggy, trash-tier games gives him an edge over the competition, and watching him outsmart bosses and other players is nothing short of exhilarating.
Let’s be honest—after the end of the “Beyond the Snow” arc, I was worried Blue Exorcist might lose steam.
But nope!
The “Blue Night” arc comes in swinging immediately after with high-stakes drama and long-awaited answers to questions that have plagued fans for years.
With Yuki’s dark turn and the Gehenna Gate threatening to engulf everything, this season’s plot is hotter than Rin’s blue flames.

The mix of action, mystery, and emotional depth keeps Blue Exorcist firmly in the must-watch category.
If the animation and storytelling hold up, this could be one of the best arcs in the series to date.
Fall 2024 gave us some of the best finales in recent anime history, and Winter 2025 is shaping up to keep the hype alive.
Whether you’re into sports dramas, quirky chaos, or VR escapades, there’s something here for everyone.
With heavy hitters like Solo Leveling, Shangri-La Frontier, and Blue Exorcist leading the charge, it’s safe to say our anime addiction is going nowhere.
So, what are you most excited for? Did your favorites make the list?
Drop a comment and let’s geek out together!
Until next time, keep those watchlists stacked and your popcorn ready.
Peace out, weebs.

That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime is better than all of these but I didn’t know Solo Leveling had a new season so I’ll have to catch up.

Hey Hey Ramen, I actually love That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime myself, but they don’t have anything this Fall or Winter so I had nothing to drop here for it. Mark my words though, as soon as some new episodes come out I will have something on it up here. Thanks for dropping by and make sure to check in later!
